When it comes to Winter Engagement Session outfits, you don’t have to sacrifice style for warmth! I will say, some of these styles are going to be more geared towards a 40-50 degree weather winter day, and some can definitely withstand some lower temps if you layer enough!
I also highly recommend bringing a warm coat or wrap to warm up in between shots! For example, I’ll usually bring a blanket or a wrap for my couple so they can bundle up while we walk from one location to another! So that being said, here are a list of some of my favorite long sleeved maxi dresses and sweater dresses, plus a few cute accessories!

Winter Layering and Accessories
I love dresses because they’re basically one and done outfits, but for winter engagement eession outfits, I also love layering structured pieces together! I love how a trench coat, pea coat, and so many others can tie together a casual outfit together, or add the finishing touch to a sweater dress. You can wear a dressier sweater and jeans, knee high boots, and finish off that look with a classic coat. You can also choose a sweater dress, knee high boots, and a long coat for a more dressy-casual look.

Wraps and shawls are two of my other favorite ways to add warmth to a dress for a winter engagement session! There are so many gorgeous shawls out there and winter is the perfect excuse to add a cute faux fur shawl to your dress if you want to add a glamorous touch.

Engagement sessions are such a fun way to celebrate a once in a lifetime season, and Winter can be a beautiful time of year for photos despite the cold! If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message!
